Baseball Baby Quilt

Last June was the lovely wedding of Matt and Shannon for whom I made an unusual variation of a double wedding ring quilt.

Pattern "Forever Yours" by Southwind Designs .

Shannon used to come to our softball games when she was a baby/toddler (she had no choice as her mom and dad were both on the team) so she grew up loving the game.
Matt & Shannon used a photo from Nationals Park for their Save the Date card.

They went to Nationals Park in their wedding finery for photos!!

This is the happily married couple.
They are expecting a baby later this spring.

So OF COURSE I have to make a baseball baby quilt for them!!

In each corner of the quilt I added some traffic fabric for the parking lot surrounding the stadium. Although they most likely take Metro to get there, I felt the quilt needed a bit of interest.

This is my Triangle Treasures pattern. It's SO easy and quick to make.

I put the binding on the back and then wrapped it around to the front.

Got a cute label out of an extra piece. Popcorn on the back of the quilt is perfect at the ballpark.

Finished!
36" x 42"
Machine pieced, machine quilted, machine washed and machine dried!

Plus a little bonus Snap Flap.

For a little something.
